Alive in Diaspora: Language Transmission and Vitality

A conference on transmitting a language across generations and beyond its traditional geographical, its challenges in the Portuguese and Armenian diasporas, as well as minority-language communities in Portugal. Through two panel discussions and two presentations, this conference brings together different perspectives on language transmission and vitality, exploring the relationships between language, identity and cultural diversity in different contexts. It aims to identify challenges, responses and opportunities for mutual learning.
