Mythologies in the Gulbenkian Collection

From the majesty of dragons to the wisdom of ancient gods, this in-person session will take us on a journey through the stories that have shaped cultures and imaginations across the centuries, revealing how they still live on within the Gulbenkian Collection. Dragons and Simurghs: what are they, and what stories do they tell? What do Osiris, Athena, Inanna, and Diana have in common? In this session, exclusively for holders of the Cartão Gulbenkian and Cartão Gulbenkian Mais, we will explore ancient myths, deities, heroes, and mythical creatures from Egypt to China, via Greece, Sumer, and Persia, which appear and reappear, reinterpreted over the millennia, throughout the Gulbenkian Collection. Cartão Gulbenkian programme has a limited capacity. If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
