One collection, new perspectives

After a period of transformation, the Gulbenkian Museum has reopened with renewed galleries, fresh perspectives and new stories to tell. In this exclusive tour in English for Cartão Gulbenkian Mais members, Jessica Hallett, Curator of Islamic, Armenian, and Chinese Art, invites participants to discover the collections through the new narratives that have shaped their presentation. Drawing on the latest research and the work carried out during the Museum’s refurbishment, Jessica Hallett will share, first-hand, how new knowledge and curatorial choices have brought fresh perspectives to the works on display. Cartão Gulbenkian programme has a limited capacity. If you can’t attend, please cancel your ticket. Enter your MyGulbenkian account, open the “Tickets” section, and click “Cancel”.
